- Tip#1 ** Rendering to the HD for later use as a video clip **
-
- 1) Load the scene
- 2) In the <RECORD> menu, select Med Res (A4000)
- 3) Select <SAVE ANIM>
- * Make sure the drive destination is the name that appears on
- your workbench screen. (ie FLYERA0: - not FA0:)
- 4) Go into <RENDERING> menu located on bottom left corner of layout
- screen and select the in and out points of frames to be rendered. Then
- select <AUTOMATIC RENDERING>.
-
-
- Tip#2 ** Recording partial scenes to be pieced together later **
-
- Often times, I don't want to render the entire scene in one
- sitting, for example; I start the rendering of a 360 frame animation
- before I go to bed and hit escape to close it when I wake up and want to
- start doing some modeling work. Even though it has only rendered 113
- frames, I can render the next segment the following night and piece it
- together using the FLYER. Note: These tests were only during when field
- rendering was turned on, I can't verify that it will work when this is
- not turned on. (I've only had the FLYER for a couple of days)
-
- 1) Perform the steps noted in Tip#1 to start the rendering process.
- 2) When you want to stop the animation, write down the last frame
- recorded to the hard drive, then press the escape key. (Make sure
- you write down the last frame recorded; this will be vital when you want
- to continue rendering the animation accurately without any glitches or
- jumps in the animation).
- 3) When you want to continue rendering the next segment of the animation,
- change the in and out points when you go to the render button on the left
- bottom corner of layout. If your last frame rendered and recordered to
- the hard drive was 113, then your in point will be 113. Normally, one
- would think to start rendering at frame 114, but for some reason it
- doesn't work. This might be corrected in the 4.0 version of the FLYER.
- 4) This process has been performed successfully by myself using up to
- four separate animation clips very accurately; however, sometimes I do
- get glitches in certain frames of my animations. But after I rerendered
- them, they were corrected. 3.9 Flaw I do believe.
- 5) Exit LW and from the <VIEWS> menu, choose <PROJECT/FILES>
- 6) Select the drive and path you stored your animations on.
- 7) Now drag the croutons up to the top of your storyboard. Each time you
- drag the crouton, you will have to adjust the in and out points, the
- FLYER automatically shortens each of these to adjust for any wipes or
-
-
- dissolves that might be used in normal video clips.
